Hundreds of effective nonprofits are recipients of grants given by the Cook Family Foundation. Our criteria for new recipients is simple but rigid:

Is there a need?

Does this organization fulfill a true and persistent need in the community? Do they have an unwavering focus on their mission?

Is it effective?

Does this organization operate effectively? Never wasting precious dollars on bloated administrative costs or lackluster programs.

Can it grow?

Does this organization have the capacity to grow past what it’s currently doing? Will additional resources blossom or reach a ceiling of diminishing returns?
